An elegant duck egg blue armchair upcycled and revived with traditional upholstery skills and a touch of artistic flair into a unique piece of furniture.
This is good quality vintage armchair with a fully sprung seat base, from the early 1960s. It has a certain daintiness to it’s proportions, perfect for a bedroom or small lounge. Without being sexist, I would describe it as a ‘ladies chair’.
I have recovered it in Romo Linara fabric in ‘Mineral’ a pale duck egg blue colour. This fabric is hard wearing and also washable. It is an exquisite cotton-linen blend, Linara has a beautiful brushed finish with an exceptionally soft, peach-skin feel that adds a luxurious quality to the fabric.
The inside back has been covered in a beautiful linen/cotton fabric from Dorset based designer Meg Morton. It is inspired by walks along the River Stour it features birds, dragonflies and pretty butterflies.
This chair definitely calls for you to sit in it. It has a lovely comfortable seat, and a supportive back. It’s dainty, small and perfectly proportioned.
It is a one off design, a totally unique chair that will quietly make a statement in any room perfect for the country inspired home.
The chair has been treated with fabric protector.
The chair measures 34″ H x 29″ W x 30″ D
