This one-of-a-kind statement chair has been carefully restored using traditional upholstery techniques. The mahogany frame has been lovingly revived with my dad’s secret woodcare recipe, bringing out its natural depth and character.

The seat is upholstered in soft black velvet, offering a luxurious contrast to the stunning William Morris “Forest” fabric on the chair back. The Story Behind the Chair

I discovered this chair through a local house clearance — it was looking rather sorry for itself, with a worn tapestry back, loose trim, and paint-spattered wood. But beneath the neglect, I could see its beautiful bones and the regal shape that hinted at a throne. I set out to restore it to its former glory, carefully reviving the wood, rebuilding the upholstery with traditional methods, and dressing it in fabrics worthy of its elegance. Now, The Hare’s Throne stands proud once more.
