Description
A pair of good quality Victorian salon chairs fully refurbished and re-upholstered. The mahogany woodwork has been carefully cleaned up using my Dad’s secret recipe (he was a French Polisher) to reveal the original patina of the wood. Please note there are a couple of tiny marks and patches here and there from previous use all comensurate with their age. After all these ladies are over a hundred years old.
These lovely chairs were headed to the tip before I got my hands on them and gave them a new lease of life. I decided that they needed something special to wear and I found this gorgeous, luxurious peacock shimmer velvet fabric with a gold background, botanical leaves and a stunning Mrs & Mrs peacock. A duck egg blue gimp braid picks up once of the many accent colours in the fabric, and finished them off perfectly. Simply stunning and ta dah! These chairs now have a contemporary vibe to them.
Due to the large pattern repeat on the fabric the chairs are not totally identical, very close, but just very slightly different.
Antique in style, but the fabric makes them an option for a contemporary setting. Perfect for a hallway or a bedroom. Utterly unique, guaranteed to add a touch of glamour to your boudoir.
